CAHME Candidacy Status – Healthcare Management

Atlantis University is pleased to announce that the Master of Science in Healthcare Management (MSHM) has been approved as a Candidate program by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), effective December 18, 2025.

CAHME Candidacy status is a formal recognition granted to healthcare management programs that have met initial eligibility requirements and have been accepted into the official accreditation process. This status confirms that the program is actively progressing through CAHME’s evaluation stages and is aligned with CAHME’s academic and quality standards.

For students—including those in Puerto Rico, where CAHME recognition is highly valued—this status means the MSHM program is delivered under the rigor, structure, and academic expectations of the CAHME accreditation framework, with a strong emphasis on competency-based education, leadership development, and continuous improvement in healthcare management.

CAHME Notice

Candidate status is an indication that a program in healthcare management has voluntarily committed to participate in a plan of self-improvement and is actively progressing toward the status of accreditation. Candidate status is not accredited status and does not guarantee eventual accredited status.

Atlantis University reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and to preparing highly qualified healthcare management leaders for Puerto Rico and the broader global healthcare community.
